Leading Worship at Blacksburg Presbyterian

As Christians, we are called to serve other people and in so doing, our faith grows and deepens. This was the theme of the worship service led by UKIRK students at Blacksburg Presbyterian on February 20. Three different students shared their personal experiences as part of the sermon. Erin Cox shared her experience rebuilding houses damaged by Hurricane Michael. Carter Griffin talked about the ways in which his faith grew as he served as a counselor during the summer at Massanetta Springs. Sarah Loomis told of her experiences as a leader of SWE (the Society of Women Engineers) at VT. It was a moving service of worship and it reminded me of why UKIRK is vital to our students and to the church. We were grateful for this opportunity to share our stories with the people of Blacksburg Presbyterian.
